Biography

Ms. Wheatley came to DeHay & Elliston after twenty-five years of practice. She started her career as a Deputy District Attorney in Contra Costa County where she tried dozens of felony and misdemeanor cases, as well as numerous court trials. Thereafter, Ms. Wheatley joined a medical malpractice defense firm, first as an associate and then as a partner, where she once again tried several cases to verdict. Ms. Wheatley expanded her litigation practice to include construction defects, real estate, personal injury for both plaintiffs and defendants, premises liability, and toxic tort law. At DeHay & Elliston L.L.P., Ms. Wheatley focuses her practice on the defense of manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, and premise owners in toxic tort and environmental litigation.

Capitalizing on her litigation and trial experience, Ms. Wheatley provides her clients with effective and resourceful representation. She is detail-oriented and takes the time needed to fully understand her clients, the nuances of their products, as well as their desired outcomes at every stage of litigation, thereby creating a successful partnership that yields positive results.
