Rini Roy is an attorney in the Chicago office of DeHay & Elliston, L.L.P. Her practice focuses primarily on toxic tort and products liability defense.
Prior to joining DeHay & Elliston, Ms. Roy worked for another Chicago-based defense litigation firm, where she successfully defended corporations in mass toxic tort and product liability cases, including multi-party personal injury claims involving asbestos exposure. As part of her responsibility for all aspects of case management, including motion practice, deposition coverage, court hearings, and trial preparation, Ms. Roy worked closely with insurers, national counsel, and general counsel, and served as lead counsel for two prominent product manufacturers with nationwide distribution. Ms. Roy’s experience also includes defending serious personal injury cases arising from trucking accidents and transportation losses.
Ms. Roy earned her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School, where she was an Edith and Philip Baim Scholarship recipient. While in law school, she specialized in intellectual property law, and worked as both a USPTO-certified student-practitioner and administrator at the John Marshall Law School Trademark Clinic. Ms. Roy also externed for The Honorable Judge Pamela Meyerson of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois.
