Biography

Madison Pyle joined DeHay & Elliston, L.L.P. as an associate in 2022 after graduating cum laude from the Texas Tech University School of Law. Her work at DeHay & Elliston focuses on the defense of toxic tort actions against companies.

Ms. Pyle attended Southern Methodist University for undergrad where she received a Bachelor of Arts in both Philosophy and Psychology. She was a member of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams where she broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles, was awarded the Inspirational Athlete Award, and was on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

During her time in law school, Ms. Pyle interned for various criminal and civil law employers. She was the Executive Managing Editor of the Estate Planning and Community Property Journal and a senior writer for the Texas Bank Lawyer for which she received the Professor Krahmer Visiting Writer Scholarship. She was one of seven student attorneys for Texas Tech’s Low Income Tax Clinic where she received the Distinction Award for Academic Achievement. Ms. Pyle also received Distinction Awards for the papers she wrote for her First Amendment Seminar and Mental Disability Law courses as well as the Top-Grade Award in her Statutory Interpretation course. Additionally, she received the Pro Bono Achievement Award for performing over 150 pro bono hours during her three years of law school. Ms. Pyle also served as a teaching fellow and mentor for the 1L Legal Practice Course and as the Student Bar Association’s 3L Honor Council Representative.
